5 Cafes in Brisbane to Visit After Iso

Being a coffee lover, discovering new coffee shops and trying out new blends is one of my favourite activities. Every week I used to visit a different café in Brisbane, I would go on a Friday or during the weekend. This has become a sort of tradition for me, although during isolation I had to change this weekly routine to only enjoy a coffee to take away and not having the pleasure to spend sometime inside the coffee shop, admiring their interiors.

Restrictions in Australia will be lifted this weekend, so here are some of the cafes that I'm looking forward to visiting over the next weeks.

Florence Café

Camp Hill

Florence is a modern neighbourhood café in Camp Hill. Its colourful peach door is an invite to get in and discover all the goodies in their seasonal menu. They serve locally roasted coffee from Parallel Roasters and healthy produces to create a unique dining experience.

Paradise Café

Fortitute Valley

Paradise Café is a charming coffee shop situated in Alfred Street in Fortitude Valley. It was opened by Dutch and Bekky Brill who asked friend and former MasterChef contestant Chloe Bowles to conceive a menu of wholesome eats. Coffee is supplied by Padre Coffee’s Noosa roastery.

Lucky Duck Café and Bar

Highgate Hill

Lucky Duck Café and Bar was created by a community feel by co-owners James Davidson and Justine Sinclair. The menu include an array of vegetarian and vegan options as well as burgers and english breakfast. Their coffee is from Espresso di Manfredi and a diverse wine list represents Australia, New Zealand and Europe.

Blue Bear Coffeehouse

New Farm

Blue Bear Coffeehouse can be found on a leafy corner in New Farm. The cosy interior features a beautiful mural of a bear fishing for coffee. Their healthy menu includes one of the most delicious crushed avocado on sourdough I've ever eaten. Coffee is roasted locally by Bear Bones.

Morning After

Westend

Beautiful Morning After was designed by Interior Design studio Derlot. Located in the heart of West End, this café was borne from the vision of mother and son Soula and Yianni Passaris. Their menu is healthy and at the same time fun and indulgent, created by a selection of locally sourced products. Coffee is by 5 Senses and Roast by Yili.
